What is Sinus Drainage?
There is a lot of misunderstanding and poor information about sinus drainage, so let me explain it with a simple story. Imagine that you have a beautiful dog called Pooch. You love Pooch very much so you let it wander all over the house. You even leave it in the house when you go out. One day you return to see that Pooch has crapped all over your best Persian rug. Not only that, it seems that the crap has soaked into the rug.
So, what are you going to do? Yes, for a moment or two you think about killing the dog, but as you love it so much, you just tell it off, and get on with the job of clearing the crap up. So the first thing you do is pick up the bits that you can physically pick up. Then you would begin the process of cleaning the rug by pouring water on the rug in the hope that you can flush the crap out of the rug.
You would continue flushing with water, wiping and flushing with more water until all traces of the dog poop had been removed. Well, if you are suffering from sinus drainage, that is what is happening in your sinuses. Your body is attempting to remove the crap from your sinuses by flushing out your sinuses with mucous. Your body will continue to produce mucous to flush out your sinuses until it believes the infection is gone.
This means that you are now suffering from two very different things. You have got a sinus infection which is causing you to feel anything from sinus pressure, facial pain, ear ache, sore eyes, sore throat, exhaustion, loss of libido, even depression; and you have the additional suffering of excess mucous causing all kinds of pain, especially if the mucous cannot get out of your sinuses fast enough.
So you need to get rid of the infecting organisms in your sinuses, then the sinus drainage will go away naturally on its own accord. If you take medication that is designed to reduce the mucous flow, like a decongestant, you will feel better in the short term, but you are doing nothing to help the problem in the long term.
If you use antibiotics to kill the bacteria in your sinuses, again you may feel better in the short term, but the fact that you have an infection in your sinuses is an indication that your immune system is weak, and antibiotics will weaken your immune system even more; which means that your sinus infection will probably return in a few weeks.
So, my advice is this. Use a natural sinus infection remedy like Sinus Doctor. This will kill off the infection in your sinuses. Then listen to your body and address the cause of your weakness. Are you stressed? Are you eating properly? Do you eat a lot of processed foods? Do you smoke? Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals from your diet? You only need to make a few minor changes to your life to boost your immune system.
The immune system is an amazing collection of mechanisms that will protect you from the outside world; you have just got to help it along now and again. If you do this, and use the Sinus Doctor remedy, which is 100% natural and has no man-made chemicals in it, you will say ‘Good bye’ to sinus drainage for good.
